Hertha BSC have signed Jean-Paul Boëtius on a free transfer.
The Dutch midfielder, who left Mainz when his contract expired at the end of last season, has agreed to a three-year contract with the capital club.
“Jean-Paul Boëtius has played in the Bundesliga for four years and in Mainz his qualities were regularly there for all to see. He is a model professional, knows our coach from his time at Mainz, and with this the brand of football that we want to play,” commented Hertha boss Fredi Bobic.
“It is a stroke of luck for us that a player with such ability and experience of the league was available on a free transfer. We’re really happy that he decided to join Hertha.”
