Barcelona have reached an agreement regarding personal terms with Héctor Bellerín.
As broken by Fabrizio Romano, Bellerín is expected to fly to Barcelona to join the Blaugrana from Arsenal on a free transfer.
It is believed that the Spanish right-back, whose contract with the Gunners is valid until June 2023, will take a salary reduction in order to help Barcelona stay within La Liga’s financial regulations.
Yesterday it was communicated that the Blaugrana were interested in signing Thomas Meunier from Borussia Dortmund, but talks came to a standstill as Barcelona were not willing to meet the Bundesliga outfit’s asking price.
Héctor Bellerín spent last season on loan at Real Betis, where he won the Copa del Rey in April 2022. He wanted to stay at Los Verdiblancos, however, the club could not afford to sign him.
The 27-year-old came through La Masia before he was signed by Arsenal in 2011. He was linked with a return to Barcelona throughout his career and it appears as though the time has arrived now.
