Bayern Munich’s deputy chairman Uli Hoeness is confident that they will be able to secure a deal for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.
Hoeness claimed in a recent interview that the 29-year-old has told them he wants to join the Bundesliga giants.
The Bavarians met with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy earlier this week over a deal for the English footballer.
They reportedly failed to make a breakthrough in negotiations, but Hoeness is still confident they can wrap up a deal this summer.
“Up to now it was the case that Harry has clearly signalled in all the talks that his mind is made up. And if that remains the case, then we’ll get him,” Hoeness said. “Then Tottenham will have to give way.”
Kane has been one of the most important players for Tottenham since he made his competitive debut in 2011.
He has clocked up over 430 senior appearances so far, with an incredible 280 goals to his name.
Despite being one of the best players in the Premier League, the 29-year-old is yet to win a major trophy and that’s mainly due to the overall quality of his team.
The England star now wants to join Bayern where he can win the Bundesliga title and also compete for the Champions League trophy.
But it looks like Daniel Levy has no intention of letting the striker leave in this transfer window.
The Lilywhites turned down Bayern’s recent bid of £70 million despite the player having less than a year remaining on his contract.
Levy is said to be demanding a whopping £120m transfer fee but that valuation is unlikely to be met by any side.
