Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick remains largely satisfied with the efforts of a member of his squad who has come in for heavy criticism of late.
The player in question? Ferran Torres.
The name of frontman Ferran of course took its place front and centre in the chatter in Catalunya’s capital this past weekend.
Unfortunately for the Spaniard, however, as much came for altogether less than positive reasons.
En route to an opening day 2-1 downing of Valencia in La Liga, Ferran badly struggled from his berth on the left flank.
So underwhelmed were the Barcelona faithful, in fact, that many quickly took to social media, to call for the former Manchester City man to be moved on as soon as possible.
Any such development, however, looks extremely unlikely.
As per a report from Marca:
‘Hansi Flick is satisfied with the performance he is showing, despite the fact that he has not seen much of him because
he joined late due to the Euro Cup.’
Not only that, but, amid rumours of interest in his services on the part of Premier League outfit Newcastle United, Ferran, too, has made clear that he has no intention of going anywhere this summer.
