A January move looks increasingly unlikely for Serhou Guirassy, whose release clause has now expired.

With 17 goals in 14 Bundesliga games this season, it’s no surprise that Serhou Guirassy is being linked with a move away from VfB Stuttgart.

However, reports suggest that a move this month is highly unlikely.

According to Sky Germany, Guirassy is not interested in leaving this month and has told Stuttgart bosses of his desire to stay for now.

At the same time, the €17.5 million release clause in Guirassy’s contract, which was active from the beginning of January, has expired, giving Stuttgart full power to negotiate a transfer fee.

Guirassy is currently on international duty with Guinea at the Africa Cup of Nations.
