Grimaldo reveals how Leverkusen convinced him to sign from Benfica

Alejandro Grimaldo has been confirmed fit for Bayer Leverkusen’s Bundesliga clash with RB Leipzig on Saturday.

The Spanish left-back has had problems with his knee this week, but has completely shaken off the problem ahead of Saturday’s game, Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso assured at a press conference on Friday.

“All the players are ready,” Xabi Alonso insisted when asked about Grimaldo.

Leverkusen will still be without long-term absentees Victor Boniface and Arthur, as well as Odilon Kossounou, Amine Adli and Edmond Tapsoba, who are away at the Africa Cup of Nations.
