Foot Mercato are reporting that OGC Nice owners INEOS have met with Graham Potter to discuss the former Chelsea manager’s arrival at the Allianz Riviera. The Englishman is reportedly “receptive” to the idea of joining Les Aiglons, although no decision has yet been taken.
As revealed by sources contacted by Get French Football News, Dave Brailsford, INEOS’ Director of Sport, is pushing to bring the former Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion manager to Le Gym. Foot Mercato have now revealed that Nice are making concrete steps to bring in Potter, who would replace Didier Digard. The former Nice captain has been in charge since taking over from Lucien Favre in January, but it is expected that he won’t take the reins at the club next season.
Within this context, two meetings have taken place between Potter and INEOS. Potter is interested in the role but is yet to make a final decision. L’Équipe reported yesterday that Potter was just one of six names on Nice’s list to replace Digard – a list which also includes current Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi.
