Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann has revealed that Leon Goretzka will miss Saturday’s Bundesliga encounter with Eintracht Frankfurt.
“Generally, everyone will be there, just like last time – except for Leon [Goretzka], who will be out,” said Nagelsmann at a press conference today.

“He has a thigh issue, and we don’t want to take any risks with him. He will likely be able to return next week,” continued the Bayern coach, who revealed that Ryan Gravenberch is likely to play in Goretzka’s place.

The Bayern boss went on to confirm that Kingsley Coman will start – most likely at the expense of Serge Gnabry, who the Frenchman replaced at half-time in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with FC Köln.

“Kingsley Coman will start tomorrow. He was on the bench against Köln and did extremely well after coming on,” said Nagelsmann.

“Gnabry had the chance to show show himself against Köln and didn’t take it. We had a good talk, and I explained to him that his substitution happened for sporting reasons alone,” he added about Gnabry, who has been criticized for spending a day off in Paris between Bayern’s games against Leipzig and Köln.

Asked if Thomas Müller will be in the starting line-up after starting on the bench twice in a row, Nagelsmann responded:

“I haven’t decided on a line-up yet. Only four positions are locked on the poster in my office. There are still places available for tomorrow.”
