It seems only a matter of time before Borussia Mönchengladbach announce a new contract for Luca Netz.
According to Bild, the left-back has extended his deal with the Bundesliga club, pushing the expiry from 2026 to 2027.
With the contract extension, Borussia will avoid losing him on a free transfer next summer.
However, it doesn’t guarantee that Netz will stay, as the report suggests the new contract includes a release clause.
The 22-year-old currently sits behind Lukas Ullrich in the pecking order for the left-back position.
