Borussia Mönchengladbach appear to have found a replacement for Nico Elvedi, who is said to be close to joining Wolverhampton Wanderers.
According to Athletic, ‘Die Fohlen’ are on the verge of agreeing a deal to sign Maximilian Wöber from Leeds United.
Sky Germany is also reporting on the negotiations between the parties, with Wöber understood to have a clause allowing him to leave Leeds on loan following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
The clubs are said to be discussing the possibility of making the move permanent at a later date.
The 25-year-old centre-back has previously played for Ajax, Sevilla and RB Salzburg.
