Glsdbach have confirmed that Julian Weigl has joined the club permanently from Benfica.

Borussia Mönchengladbach have tied Benfica loanee Julian Weigl down to a permanent contract.
The defensive midfielder has penned a contract until 2028 with Borussia.
“Julian is an important building block in our team, not only because of his footballing ability, but also because his personality,” said Gladbach sporting director Roland Virkus.
“He became a leader here from the very start and we’re delighted that he has committed to Borussia.”
Weigl commented:
“I’m really happy that we were able to reach an agreement. I’m very excited for what lies ahead and can’t wait to crack on.”
