Germany’s provisional World Cup squad released

Hansi Flick and the DFB tried to keep their provisional squad a secret before the November 10th selection, but Sport Bild has now released the list.

Sport Bild released the previously secret list of Germany’s provisional squad prior to Hansi Flick narrowing the team to 26 players on November 10th.
Some notable surprises include Robin Koch (Leeds United), Robin Knoche (Union Berlin) and Rani Khedira (Union Berlin). Florian Wirtz (Leverkusen), Mario Götze (Frankfurt) and Youssoufa Moukoko (Dortmund) were also interestingly in Flick’s 44-man list.

Goalkeepers:
Neuer, Ter Stegen, Trapp, Baumann, Leno

Defenders:
Kehrer, Henrichs, Raum, Rüdiger, Süle, Ginter, N. Schlotterbeck, Gosens, Hummels, Koch, Klostermann, Knoche, Günter, Tah, Netz

Midfielders:
Kimmich, Goretzka, Gündogan, Musiala, Wirtz, Gnabry, Sane, Müller, Reus, Kramer, Hofmann, Götze, Brandt, Arnold, Weigl, Can, Stach, Khedira

Forwards:
Werner, Havertz, Adeyemi, L. Nmecha, Füllkrug, Moukoko
