Galatasaray have submitted an opening offer of a reported €5m to Schalke for Amine Harit (25), according to Sky Germany. The Morocco international is allowed to leave the Bundesliga club this summer.
Harit was already given an extended leave of absence to negotiate a departure away from Schalke and had also been released from the Bundesliga club’s training camp in Austria to negotiate with an unnamed club.
Galatasaray’s offer to Schalke for Harit was €5m, paid in installments, but per the report, S04 are demanding a fee closer to €10m for the 25-year-old, who has two-years remaining on his current deal.
Harit spent last season on loan at Marseille, who are also interested in re-signing the Moroccan, but also face competition from Porto. The player has a reported salary of €5m, too high for S04, hence their willingness to allow Harit to depart the club permanently after joining in 2017 from Nantes for €8m.
Across all competitions, Harit played 118 games for S04, scoring 13 and creating 23.
