Turkish giants Galatasaray are linked with a move for Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi ahead of the summer transfer window.
It was previously reported by the country’s local news outlet A Spor that Galatasaray were interested in signing him last summer as well but a deal could not be agreed with Leicester City.
Another Turkish outlet Takvim, has now claimed that the Istanbul based club have ‘already started’ their renewed efforts to sign the midfielder in the upcoming transfer window.
The report also claims that the player himself is ‘keen to start a new chapter’ away from Leicester City and could leave even if they win back promotion.
Wilfred Ndidi’s time at Leicester
The 27-year-old joined the Foxes in 2017 from KRC Genk for a fee worth €17.6m. In his 7 years at the club, he has made 263 appearances, scoring 15 and assisting 18.
This season, he has been a key part of the Leicester side that is close to clinching back promotion to the Premier League, having scored 2 and assisted 5 in 23 appearances.
Leicester City are currently top of the Championship table with 82 points. But fans will be worried as their recent form has not been great, losing three out of their last 5 games.
The drop in form has seen the gap reduced to just three points with 2nd placed Leeds and 4 points with 3rd place Ipswich Town.
With the other two teams breathing down their necks, Leicester can not afford any more slip ups if they want to secure a direct promotion.
