Galatasaray are still in direct talks with Florian Grillitsch, but if his salary demands continue to get in the way they will look to bring in Leverkusen’s Nadiem Amiri. The midfielder played on loan at Genoa last season where he failed to impress with just 2 assists in 13 appearances. The Turkish club would prefer for Amiri to move on a loan with an option to buy.
The 25-year-old came to Leverkusen from Hoffenheim in 2019 and hasn’t exactly lived up to expectations. He’s totaled 4 goals and 11 assists in 72 appearances for the BayArena club. Amiri is clearly out of their future plans and seems open for another fresh start. However, this move is all dependent on whether the Grillitsch transfer falls through.
Amiri’s current contract with Leverkusen expires in 2024.
