Gabri Veiga has reached an agreement to sign a long-term contract with Italian champions Napoli, according to AS.
Negotiations between the clubs are at an advanced stage and the final details are being ironed out for the highly-rated midfielder.
Napoli will pay a fee close to the amount of the player’s release clause and there will be a series of add-ons included, as well as a percentage of a future sale.
The deal could be completed in the next few days, according to sources at Celta. The intention is to close the deal between this weekend and early next week.
The sale of Gabri Veiga will help sporting advisor Luís Campos to add new signings to Rafa Benítez’s current squad.
Campos is on the lookout for at least a goalkeeper and a striker between now and the end of the window. He will also have to find a replacement for Gabri Veiga in midfield.
