Serie A side Roma are in a bit of a crisis, despite their 3-0 win over Udinese last night.
Club CEO Lina Souloukou had resigned earlier yesterday after protests against her and she was provided special protection against the protests. While she has now departed the club, the anger hasn’t calmed down and there could be further movement at the club.
La Gazzetta dello Sport state today that sporting director Florent Ghisolfi’s position is now uncertain despite having signed a three-year deal some months ago.
The protests are not against him at all – it believed. But he is now waiting to understand what his future looks like. Friedkins haven’t made themselves heard but things could change soon, as they near a takeover of Everton. That could impact a lot of things at Roma, who aren’t in the best position and things are proving to be a bit of a challenge.
