It’s to no surprise that a club is interested in Bayern striker Joshua Zirkzee, but interest is starting to get even more serious. Fulham are in talks for the 21-year-old, but Bournemouth and Southampton are keen as well. Zirkzee recorded 18 goals and 13 assists in 47 appearances on loan at Anderlecht last season.
The Dutchman has only scored 4 goals for Bayern’s first team, but has also played for their youth squads and reserve team. Bayern are currently starting their season without a true striker in the starting lineup, as Robert Lewandowski has moved to Barcelona and Eric Choupo-Moting is currently injured.
17-year-old Mathys Tel is a new signing from Rennes, but he’ll need some time to develop. Bayern are looking for a fee in the range of €10-15 million and a buyback clause could be included.
Zirkzee’s contract in Bavaria currently expires in 2023.
