Lookman moved from Everton to Leipzig in 2019 for €19 million, but was never truly able to work his way into the team. He actually spent the 2017/18 season at Leipzig on loan, where he scored 5 goals and 4 assists in only 11 appearances. When his move was made permanent a year after returning to Everton for a season, the 24-year-old failed to score or assist again in Germany.
Instead, the Englishman went on loan for the last couple of years to play for Fulham and most recently, Leicester City this past season. Those experiences were a lot more successful and after returning to Leipzig this summer, Lookman has now signed with Atalanta. Contract details have not been released, but it’s believed that his fee is in the range of €12 million.
