Freiburg seek loan locale for Belgian youth international

Germany’s preeminent footballing publication reports that second-place SC Freiburg are planning a January loan-out for long-term investment Hugo Siquet.

It thus comes as no surprise that the Badeners are seeking a loan locale for the former Standard Liege standout. Germany’s Kicker magazine cites its own sources to claim that the club is working on a loan, though it remains unclear as to whether there’s interest from other German clubs.

Siquet’s estimated market value, once €7 million at the time of last year’s signing, currently sits at €3 million in the latest transfermarkt listings. Presumably, Freiburg would wish to secure a medium-term loan locale and pocket some modest loan fees.
