According to Sky Germany, Freiburg has rejected an incredibly high transfer offer of €15m for 20-year-old rising star Kevin Schade.
Only a few clubs in Germany can resist such outlandish offers for young players when Premier League teams come knocking.
Freiburg might not be considered one such club but that is exactly what they have done.
Schade is a highly-rated midfielder who is expected to have a good career ahead of him.
Last season he made 20 Bundesliga appearances providing one assist and four goals.
Throughout Germany, Schade is regarded as a player to watch out for in the coming years.
Such hype is clearly making its way through Europe and the Premier League.
Brentford aren’t renowned for their high transfer fees. For them to make such a high offer states just how well thought of Schade is.
Schade came through the Freiburg youth academy before playing for the U23s between 2019 and 2021.
Since making the step up to the first team last season, the German youth international has proven his worth and will likely feature many times in both the Bundesliga and even the Europa League.
