Bild reports that Freiburg are interested in two of Bochum’s best young players and could raid the club for them in the summer.
The first is midfielder Patrick Osterhage. It is reported that a deal for the midfielder is nearly complete and Freiburg will pay the €5m release clause for the 24-year-old. Osterhage will replace Yannik Keitel at the club who is set to join VfB Stuttgart on a free transfer in the summer.
Osterhage is not the only Bochum player of interest to Freiburg. Defender Tim Oermann is also on the radar, as the 20-year-old provides versatility in defence as he can not only play centrally but also on the right-hand side.
Freiburg have already completed one deal ahead of the summer with Werder Bremen forward Eren Dinkci joining the club upon the expiry of his loan at Heidenheim in the summer. Similar to Osterhage, Dinkci will cost around €5m due to a release clause in his contract.
