A fitting replacement for the versatile attacking midfielder Daichi Kamada may well be one of his fellow countryman. One of Austria’s largest daily newspapers reports that Kamada’s club, Eintracht Frankfurt, are keen on bringing in 22-year-old Keito Nakamura from LASK Linz. The “Kronen Zeitung” claims the SGE are on the verge of completing a transfer for the newly-capped Japanese international.
As of yet, no German sources are confirming the report.
Nakamura has scored 16 goals and contributed a further 8 assists in 31 appearances across all competitions for his Austrian Bundesliga side this season. Since joining Linz permanently following a loan spell in the summer of 2021, the player has increased his estimated market worth from €225,000 to €5 million. Nakamura is second only to former Bundesliga veteran Guido Burgstaller in the Austrian scoring charts this year.
As noted above, German footballing media sources are not confirming the imminent transfer yet. The Austrian paper nevertheless remains confident that Nakamura will be on the move soon, noting that the attacker has already terminated the lease on his apartment in the city.
