Sky Germany reports that Rangers are interested in former Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Röhl as they look to replace Russell Martin.
Rangers have held talks with Hansi Flick’s former assistant over a move to Ibrox after Steven Gerrard declined to return to the club. Röhl would be available for free following his departure on Wednesday in the summer, when his contract was terminated.
During his time in Yorkshire, the 36-year-old managed 89 games and averaged 1.36 points per game, leading Wednesday to 12th in the Championship.
Both getting into coaching, Röhl worked alongside Hansi Flick at Bayern Munich and Germany as well as Ralph Hasenhüttl when he was head coach of RB Leipzig.
