Foot Mercato report today that FC Lorient have set a €25m price tag on their playmaker and U21 France international Enzo Le Fée (23). The 23-year-old attacking midfielder is under contract until 2024, but he has set his sights on a departure this summer. Stade Rennais are reportedly in the lead in the race to sign Le Fée, with the player said to have agreed personal terms with Les Rouge et Noir. Rennes have finished their Ligue 1 season in fourth place and have qualified for next season’s Europa League group stage, and the prospect of playing on the continental stage would appeal Le Fée.
However, Lorient have no intention of allowing Le Fée to leave for less than €25m, even if it means letting him go on a free a year from now. AFC Bournemouth, whose owner Bill Foley is a minority shareholder at Lorient, were reportedly keen to spend that much money to land Le Fée. However, the player has no intention of joining the Cherries. Le Fée is currently on international duty with France’s U21 side, with the Sylvain Ripoll-led squad gearing up for the European Championships.
