According to Florian Plettenberg, FC Köln have entered talks to sign current on-loan SV Elversberg striker Fisnik Asllani.
As previously reported, Hoffenheim have secured the services of Tim Lemperle, who will join the club in the summer after electing not to renew his deal at Köln.
However, despite this agreement, it is understood that Hoffenheim are in talks to bring this deal forward, which would see Lemperle sign for the Bundesliga outfit this month.
Nevertheless, this would be dependent on Die Geißböcke finding a replacement for the departing 22-year-old.
The Billy Goats were hopeful of signing Haris Tabaković, but the 30-year-old has already represented Hertha Berlin and Hoffenheim this season, making a deal impossible.
Nonetheless, as stated in the report, Die Kraichgauer have another possible solution for Köln.
Hoffenheim would consider cutting short Asllani’s loan at Elversberg and allowing the Kosovo international to sign for Gerhard Struber’s side.
With ten goals and four assists so far this season in the 2. Bundesliga, this would certainly be a positive deal for Köln, while allowing Hoffenheim to immediately sign Lemperle.
