Borussia Mönchengladbach coach Daniel Farke praised his captain, Lars Stindl, after today’s 2-0 win over VfL Bochum.
In his penultimate home game for Borussia before his summer move to Karlsruhe, Stindl scored a brace after coming on as a substitute to make it 2-0 and seal the win for the home side.
“He is a real leader. He is a legend here at the club. It won’t be easy to replace him,” Farke said in a post-match interview.
“We hope that he will have another great experience in the last home game against FC Augsburg. He deserves the best possible farewell.”
Stindl, who has spent eight years at Gladbach, said:
“It is a sensational feeling to score again here at Borussia Park. Even though there are only weeks left, I’m enjoying every moment right now. It’s always worth giving everything, because moments like this are really nice.”
