Schalke 04 may be without goalkeeper Ralf Fährmann for longer than previously thought.
According to Bild, the 34-year-old has undergone a second MRI scan to examine the adductor injury he sustained in Friday’s 5-2 win over Hertha BSC.
The second scan showed that he has suffered a torn muscle fiber and not just a strain, according to the report.
This means that Fährmann is likely to miss the remaining six Bundesliga games of the season.
