Tyrell Malacia is expected to leave Manchester United when his contract expires next year, GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano has revealed.
The Dutch defender has made his way back into Ruben Amorim’s first-team squad after failing to secure a move away during the summer transfer window but is unlikely to be offered fresh terms, with his current deal expiring in June.
Malacia has yet to play a minute of football this term and last featured for Man United in January before going out on loan to PSV Eindhoven for the rest of the 2024/25 season.
He made eight appearances for the Red Devils last season and another 12 for the Eredivisie club, including three in the Champions League against Juventus and Arsenal.
Malacia, who was Erik ten Hag’s first signing at Old Trafford, has only featured 47 times for United since joining from Feyenoord in the summer of 2022.
Tyrell Malacia Set for Old Trafford Exit
Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, said Malacia had several opportunities to depart Old Trafford this summer:
“Tyrell Malacia, despite returning to training with the first team of Manchester United after a crazy window where he had several opportunities, Tyrell Malacia is not going to sign any new contract at Man United, and in any case, will leave the club for sure, 100% in 2026.”
