Exclusive | Igor Tudor yet to respond to improved contract offer from Marseille

Sources contacted by Get French Football News have revealed that Igor Tudor has been offered an improved contract by Olympique de Marseille, but the Croatian manager is yet to respond.

Tudor replaced Jorge Sampaoli in the dugout at the Vélodrome in the summer. The Argentine was frustrated at Marseille’s summer transfer business after he had guided Les Phocéens to a second-place finish in Ligue 1. This year, the club will finish third in France’s top flight, meaning that Marseille will have to pass through the playoffs if they want to qualify for the Champions League group stages.

However, just like last year, there is once again uncertainty surrounding the managerial position at the club. Get French Football News understands that Tudor has been offered a new contract, and whilst he is yet to respond, his future is expected to be decided in the next week. Tudor has one year remaining on his contract at Marseille and has notably been linked with the managerial hot seat at Juventus by L’Équipe.
