Former Barcelona starlet Marc Guiu has this week provided an insight into his plans in the case of finding the net against the Blaugrana this season.
Frontman Guiu, over the last week, has seen his prospect for the campaign ahead completely altered.
After being farmed out on loan to Sunderland, the 19-year-old was recalled owing to a sudden personnel shortage in Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea frontline.
Guiu was then named in the Blues’ Champions League squad for the competition’s league phase over the coming months.
Owing to as much, the Spaniard is facing up to a reunion with former employers Barcelona.
Guiu departed Catalunya’s capital for Stamford Bridge in somewhat surprising fashion in the summer of 2024.
Speaking during an interview with RAC1 this week, the youngster was therefore drawn on both the prospect of playing, and scoring against Hansi Flick’s side.
And Guiu went on to explain:
“It will be a special match, the match of my life. Hopefully, I can get minutes. I’ve already told Cubarsí that I’ll blow the game up, although I wouldn’t celebrate a goal.”
