Everton are one of several clubs heavily interested in signing Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City in the January transfer window.
According to a report from Sunday People (October 15, page 57), Phillips could consider his future at the club in January, although claims being made that he has already chosen to leave the club are wide of the mark.
The Toffees were interested in signing him during the summer window and could consider a loan move for him in January if he decides to move.
Phillips is still determined to impress Pep Guardiola, but he is being consistently ignored by the Spaniard.
Newcastle are also interested in signing the 27-year-old, who has managed just 70 minutes of action in the Premier League.
Phillips will reportedly wait until December before deciding his future.
Phillips would be perfect for Everton
Since moving from Leeds United in 2022 for £45 million, Phillips has struggled to make a strong impact.
He is arguably one of the finest defensive midfielders in the country and impressed heavily at the 2020 European Championships.
He cannot waste his career sitting on the bench, as he may lose his spot in the England team under Gareth Southgate who has been very loyal to him.
While Phillips is capable of playing for any top club in the Premier League, he should choose Everton as his next move.
Everton – who are looking to avoid another relegation battle – will get a massive lift to have Phillips in their side.

Phillips badly needs regular games under his belt. Sean Dyche can provide him with that. He would walk into the first team, and the move would work for all parties.
