Everton are in pole position to sign Arnaut Danjuma from Villarreal, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The 25-year-old has been very open about the idea of returning to the Premier League. It was communicated earlier that the Dutchman has been in London since Saturday in order to find a club in the English top flight that is willing to sign him.
Danjuma was not included in the Villarreal squad that played Celta Vigo last weekend and it appears as though he will not play another game for The Yellow Submarine.
According to Romano, Everton are leading the race to sign the Netherlands international and they have already booked a medical appointment for the striker.
It is yet to be seen what the eventual transfer fee will be if a deal is struck between The Toffees and Villarreal.
Danjuma joined Villarreal from Bournemouth in the summer of 2021 and he was part of the side managed by Unai Emery that reached the Champions League semi-final last season.
