Sky Germany reports that Bayern Munich and Eric Dier have a verbal agreement in principle over a move in the winter for the Tottenham player.
There are talks over a permanent deal but a final decision has yet to be made as Bayern are exploring alternative options. Bayern had shown an interest in Dier in the summer but never pursued a move for the 29-year-old.
With the Bundesliga season re-starting again next week, Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel is pushing for signings to be completed as soon as possible.
While Bayern’s reported interest in Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo is not true as he is not a topic at the club.
Dier would provide depth for Bayern in midfield and centre-back positions which is where they are currently lacking, but it is a questionable move as the 29-year-old is not exactly the type of quality that Bayern need to be able to help achieve their goals. The acquisition of Dier may also halt the progress of Aleksander Pavlović who has performed well when being given a run of game time in the Bayern midfield.
