Emil Forsberg will leave RB Leipzig when the transfer window opens in January, according to Bild.
The 32-year-old Swede is set to join Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls, according to the German tabloid.
Talks about extending his contract, which expires in 2025, have reportedly taken place in the past, but to no avail. Forsberg is said to be looking for a new challenge this winter.
Forsberg moved to Leipzig from his homeland in January 2015 and has since made 318 appearances for the club, scoring 69 goals and providing 67 assists.
Only Lukas Klostermann and Yussuf Poulsen have spent more time with RB Leipzig.
