Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Nico Elvedi was heavily linked with a move away from the club during the summer transfer window, but ultimately ended up staying put.
“Although my advisor kept a lot of things from me and only informed me about the most important things, it was very intense,” Elvedi admitted in an interview with Swiss publication Blick.
“It wasn’t easy, especially since I wasn’t allowed to play.”
With Elvedi’s contract set to expire in the summer of 2024, his future remains up in the air. But for now, he is happy at Borussia.
“I feel very comfortable here, Gladbach is like my second home,” he said.
