Ruhr Nachrichten reports that RB Leipzig made contact with Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko over the summer.
RB Leipzig made contact with Borussia Dortmund youngster Youssoufa Moukoko over the summer regarding a possible transfer, according to Ruhr Nachrichten.
However, the 18-year-old striker ultimately stayed with his youth club.
Moukoko will face additional competition for a place up front, as Dortmund signed Niclas Füllkrug from Werder Bremen shortly before the transfer deadline.
Already behind Sebastien Haller in the pecking order, the youngster was “not thrilled” when he heard of Füllkrug’s move to the Signal Iduna Park.
Should Moukoko’s playing time in the coming months prove unsatisfactory, rumors of a January exit could pick up pace.
