According to Bild, Eintracht Frankfurt are targeting PSG striker Hugo Ekitiké as a possible loan signing for this upcoming transfer window.
Ekitiké is currently on loan at PSG but they reportedly have an obligation to buy with the 20-year-old’s parent club Stade Reims which is to be activated at the end of the season. However, during his first season in Paris, he has not met the expectations of the club, scoring four and assisting four in 30 appearances.
Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche has recently visited Paris to discuss a transfer of PSG youth centre-back El Chadaille Bitshiabu but discussions over Ekitiké also reportedly took place.
Any move for Ekitiké is not affected by the future of Randal Kolo Muani. It is reported that any bids for the 24-year-old are expected to arrive in July and by that time Ekitiké could already be at the club.
Frankfurt already have an issue when it comes to strikers as Rafael Santos Borré and Lucas Alario are both candidates to leave the club in the summer due to their lack of game time behind Kolo Muani. A departure of all three could leave them without a senior striker.
