Valencia head coach Rubén Baraja has announced his 22-man squad for Saturday’s match against Atlético Madrid.
The return of Edinson Cavani will be good news for fans of Los Che as they look for much-needed points. The Uruguayan striker will be available to make his comeback against Atlético after overcoming his latest injury.
Cavani has missed the last four La Liga games after breaking down against Athletic Club and was out for the games against Getafe, Real Sociedad, Barcelona and Osasuna.
Almost five weeks later, he is once again available for selection and could feature under Pipo for the first time. The Uruguayan, with seven goals, is the top scorer at Valencia this season. The question is whether Baraja will include him in the eleven or give him minutes in the second half.
Toni Lato, Gabriel Paulista and Marcos André, all injured, have remained in Valencia and will miss the clash against Diego Simeone’s side.
