At a press conference on Sunday, Max Eberl confirmed that Bayern Munich have opened talks with Joshua Kimmich over a new deal.
As confirmed by Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl, the Bavarians have approached Joshua Kimmich regarding a contract extension beyond 2025.
“There was a first exchange about a contract extension with Joshua,” Eberl revealed at a press conference on Sunday.
“It was a very good and positive discussion. We will have further talks,” he added.
There has been plenty of speculation about Kimmich’s future, with reports linking him with England, Spain and France.
On Saturday, the German international was asked about his future and said:
“You can always talk reasonably, all doors are open for everyone.
“In general, I feel really at home here. All my children were born here, we’ve built a house here.
“Of course, last season wasn’t so successful, that’s not what Bayern and I want. Now I’m hungry, I’m full of energy.”
