With Leroy Sané’s contract expiring this summer, his future at Bayern Munich remains uncertain.
According to reports, Sané recently changed his agent in an effort to secure better terms for himself.
However, Bayern have no intention of improving their current offer and have reportedly set a deadline for the player to make a final decision today, Friday.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Bayern’s final Bundesliga match of the season against Hoffenheim, board member for sport Max Eberl was asked about the complex negotiations with Sané. He responded:
“Leroy and his agent know what our desire is. And they know the conditions. We hope he opts to stay with us.”
Eberl and head coach Vincent Kompany were also asked about photos circulating of Sané attending a charity dinner in Monaco on Thursday night, hosted by Germany teammate Thilo Kehrer, and whether he had permission to travel.
“I haven’t seen the photos,” Kompany admitted.
“This is the first I’ve heard of it. For me, the main thing is that we always resolve everything within the family. That will continue to be the case, no matter what.”
Eberl added:
“I didn’t know about it either. If that’s the case, we’ll discuss it internally.”
