On the eve of Napoli-Real Madrid in the Champions League, the Italian city of Naples has had a scare, report AS.
Unfortunately, it is not the first one for the Neapolitans in the last few days. At 10.08 p.m. there was an earthquake in the Campi Flegrei area, a volcanic caldera 9 kilometres from the southern city, which has been causing tremors for weeks.
The earthquake was felt in several neighbourhoods of Naples. With a magnitude of 4 and a depth of 2.61 km, it is the second strongest in 40 years after the one on 27 September, which reached 4.2.
The Vesuviano Observatory recorded eight more earthquakes within 15 minutes of the first quake. At the time of writing, authorities have not reported any serious damage to property or injuries to locals.
Real Madrid take on Italian champions Napoli in Naples on Tuesday.
