BVB appears to be stuck in a bit of a rut when it comes to finding suitable striker cover.
Borussia Dortmund is looking for a backup for striker Serhou Guirassy, according to a report from Sport BILD.
The squad planners have been looking around for months, but no clear option has reared it’s head for the Black and Yellows.
This fits with information from Germany’s popular tabloid to which states BVB officials are “currently having a very difficult search”.
Why is that? According to BILD, Dortmund’s dilemma is that a young, promising player would miss out on valuable match practice behind first-choice Guirassy.
Meanwhile, an experienced and therefore well-paid striker is too expensive for Borussia to play the substitute role.
