
The fleet-footed attacker has finally joined the Blues
Jamie Gittens is officially a new winger for Chelsea, as confirmed by Borussia Dortmund who released a statement this evening.
After weeks of prolonged negotiations, the London club finally coughed up €65million to sign the the 20-year-old on a deal until 2032.
Since joining the Ruhrpott club in 2020, Gittens made a total of 107 first team appearances while scoring 17 goals and making 14 assists.
BVB issued the following statement: “Jamie Gittens is on the verge of a move to Premier League side Chelsea.
“All parties involved reached an agreement on Thursday in Fort Lauderdale (USA). The contractual details now need to be finalised”.
Dortmund’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl added: “Jamie is an outstanding player who has given us a lot of joy.
“He now wants to take the next step in his career with Chelsea, and we wish him all the very best and much success.”
