Despite other top European clubs knocking on his door, Alphonso Davies looks set to extend his contract with FC Bayern.
According to Bild, Bayern have negotiated a contract extension with the 22-year-old left-back beyond 2025, and the deal is ready to be signed.
However, the Canadian international’s decision could depend on the future of the club’s board member for sport, Hasan Salihamidzic.
On Tuesday, the board of directors will reportedly meet to decide on the future of Salihamidzic and CEO Oliver Kahn.
Davies has a good relationship with Salihamidzic, who brought him to Munich in 2019.
Therefore, he will keep the option open to re-evaluate the situation should Salihamidzic leave, according to Bild.
Real Madrid and Manchester City are said to be monitoring the left-back’s situation.
