Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is likely to be present in the stands for Napoli’s upcoming Serie A clash against Fiorentina.
Corriere della Sera state that with Diego’s son Giovanni having won the Scudetto two days ago in Udinese, Cholo is going to be a special guest at the Maradona for the upcoming game against Fiorentina. He is likely to be present at the grandstands, having previously promised his son that he would arrive in the city if the Partenopei win the league.
He is already said to be in Naples, having toured the city and without worrying too much about the fans that recognised him and asked for autographs. During negotiations that were taking place for Simeone’s move to Napoli, father Diego was hoping that the talks go through smoothly and he was the first one to advise him about the move.
Both of them are said to be very close and recently, Giovanni equalled his father’s record for scoring four goals in his first four Champions League games, thanks to his brace against Rangers.
