Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby has put speculation about his future to rest.

“I’m very optimistic he will stay”

Moussa Diaby has been linked with a move away from Bayer Leverkusen in the past months, with Newcastle United among his reported suitors.

But the French winger has now ruled out leaving the club this summer.

“I’ve made up my mind and I’ll be playing for Bayer Leverkusen next season as well,” Diaby told Rheinische Post.

As for the coming season, the French winger said his “goals have not changed.”

“We want Bayer to be a top team again and I want to help the team as much as possible by continuing to score goals as well as providing assists assists. Getting as far as possible in all competitions is the goal.”
