Dembélé and Zirkzee also on SGE target list, Hauge to receive new chance

Sky Germany reports that Lyon’s Moussa Dembelé and former FC Bayern München striker Joshua Zirkzee are also candidates for Eintracht Frankfurt’s presumed summer attacking corps restock. Dembelé’s agent has confirmed contact from Eintracht.

In other Frankfurt-related transfer news, SGE sporting director Markus Krösche has told Germany’s main sporting tabloid that he’s looking forward to receiving Norwegian Jens Petter Hauge back after a flopped loan spell.

Dembelé – not to be confused with the famous Belgian midfielder of the same name – might soon be scratched off the list due to salary demands. The player’s agent, Mamadi Fofana, has confirmed that Eintracht have contacted him about his client and told Sky that “the option is being evaluated”. Sky nevertheless also notes that the striker seeks a €3.8 million annual salary. This would render him the highest paid SGE professional.

Hauge remained with KAA Gent, where he’s confined to have trouble cracking the matchday squad and only been used in brief relief appearances. Krösche acknowledged that the arrangement hadn’t come close to unfolding as he hoped, but that there were some positives to take away from the youngster’s issues.

“Yes, he will get his chance,” Krösche said of Hauge’s return  “He has matured in terms of personality. His difficult time in Belgium has also helped him.”
