RB Leipzig have offered Dani Olmo their final contract extension offer, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Spaniard’s contract with the Saxons is due to expire in 2024. However, should he choose to accept the extension from Leipzig, he would become one of the club’s biggest earners.
Should the 24-year-old defender decide not to accept the offer, Leipzig are keen on moving him on this summer in order to receive funds and not let him run his current deal down.
As per the report, Leipzig’s valuation of Olmo is approximately €30m.
Olmo joined Leipzig in 2020 from Dinamo Zagreb for around €29m. During his time at Leipzig, Omlo was part of the DFP Pokal-winning side last year and has played over 80 competitive matches scoring on 13 occasions.
Leipzig are currently in 5th position and two points off 4th place SC Freiburg. With five games remaining, it’s crucial for the Saxons to achieve Champions League football once again. Should they fail to do so, it could have an effect on Olmo’s decision.
