Conor McGregor’s UFC future has been a hot topic of conversation in the MMA world ever since he last competed inside the Octagon almost four years ago. In his last outing inside the Octagon, the Irishman suffered a broken leg in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, and although he has been on record to say in many interviews and social media posts that his leg is 100% healed, he is yet to make his UFC return despite being booked to take on Michael Chandler last summer at UFC 303, however the fight didn’t happen as he suffered a toe injury.
UFC president Dana White is constantly asked in interviews about the status of ‘The Notorious’ in the UFC, and even if he isn’t being completely transparent in his responses, he always seems to give a positive update, however, his latest update certainly isn’t positive and it will disappoint a lot of MMA fans who want to see him back. Although the Irishman took to social media just days ago to tease a return by saying “get the show on the road,” it doesn’t seem like fighting is in his plans in the near future.

Conor McGregor Won’t Fight “Anytime Soon,” According to Dana White
‘The Notorious’ teased an Octagon return just days ago
Although Conor McGregor teased a return to the Octagon just days ago, UFC president Dana White has provided a fresh update on the future of ‘The Notorious,’ and it doesn’t look like he will be making a return soon. The UFC boss recently spoke to Adam Glyn and revealed that McGregor is “not fighting anytime soon” and he hasn’t even spoken to him “in a minute.”
See what White had to say about the future of McGregor below:
Although the Irishman teased a return to the UFC Octagon just a few days ago, this update shouldn’t really come as a shock or surprise to MMA fans who are active on social media and see the lifestyle McGregor is living and how little he is seemingly training in the gym.
It has been common knowledge for quite some time that McGregor has just two bouts remaining on his contract with the UFC, so if ‘The Notorious’ wants to go off and venture into the sport of boxing like he has publicly stated several times and compete in bouts against the likes of Jake and Logan Paul, he must fight out his contract. When those last two fights will happen is currently unknown, and it doesn’t sound like they will be anytime in the near future.
